Work in progress and positive feedback

PictureSome random photos of my new projects :)
The last couple of weeks were very busy for me: work, work and some more work. That's why I did not have too much time for my crocheting #sadpanda :(
However, this does not mean I did not do anything: I am working on a couple of projects and I have some photos to prove it :) Just that they are quite ambitious projects so it will take a while to finish them. And patience is not my strongest point... but I do find a lot motivation when receiving positive feedback on my work. And lately I received quite a lot of nice messages - I am very grateful for those that took the time to write me. And then there is the appreciation of fellow bloggers that find my patterns worthy of mentioning on their blogs. For instance my moss stitch laptop cover that was featured on Best of crochet blog. I could not be more proud and happy that people appreciate and like my work. And with this said, back to crocheting, my projects await me :)

Little baskets made out of twine

Guess what I found at the home supplies store: green twine! The perfect material for some little baskets. And while green is already a nice color, I found the baskets a bit boring. So I decided to embellish them with some simple colorful elements. Cute, right? :)

Mother’s Day

People celebrate Mother’s Day today. Not everywhere, in Romania Mother’s Day is celebrated on 8th of March.  But here in The Netherlands today is the day. And to mark the occasion, I learned a new stitch: Solomon’s Knot, also called the lover’s knot. Very easy to make if you get the hang of it. What I made using this stitch? Something special for someone special: a wrap made from mohair for my mother in law :)

Random projects: crocheted hanging baskets

The fight to organize my house continues! My last project: hanging baskets to store scarfs and gloves. I don’t have a pattern for the two baskets you see in the photo because there are already so many nice patterns on the internet. I used double yarn to match a size 7 hook and it took me two evenings to finish these two.

Easy crocheted wall organizer

My last project: a wall organizer. Dutch houses are small, and our apartment is no exception. One needs to find ways to keep everything organized. This little project is meant to help me do that :) Plus, it is a fun project to make. I had some granny squares that I made long time ago but did not use them - perfect for this project! And as a method to hang it to the wall I improvised and used a clothes hanger :P
As always, for those of you who want to see how I did this project, all the details are found on the Patterns section. I am happy with the result :) Do you like it?
