Just a colorful curtain

PictureRenji - just checking the perimeter...
Finally it is done! Our new kitchen curtain. The old one was terrible - old and full with dust and hair. From the cats. For some reason cats like to stare out the window, and our cats are no exception. To maintain the problem (lets face it, is not that I can do anything to stop the cats doing what they want) I made this slightly shorter curtain in three colors: brown, green and orange. The pattern used is very easy (I already posted the diagram here), works very fast, watching television is not a problem :)
To complete the curtain for this window measuring 1m20 cm wide I needed to make 4 double and 4 single pieces each measuring 1m10 cm in length which I hand sew, alternating the colors.
To hang the curtain I used the hook-and-loop fastener from the old  curtain. To be able to sew the fabric strip to the curtain I crocheted an edge by using double crochet stitch.
Washing was the next step - luckily with the weather it was dry and ready to hang in a couple of hours. The end :)
Oh no, there is something else: I also used a simple garland I had around to make the window even more cheerful. I m not very happy with the result - that garland needs some color accents. So... to be continued...
PS: Sorry for the quality of the pictures - the sun was shinning that side of the house.

On the diagram, from row 5 do you continue by going back to row 1 or how is that done. I'm not too goo with symbols so when I saw the chains stitches in between and then blank it kind of lost me there.

Yes, Norma, after row 5 you go back to row 2. But check the Patterns tab, I added there the pattern of the curtain with written explanation of the diagram, maybe that will help you.

Hi!! Love this pattern. Am unable to find the odd though. My question would be what or how did you make the runners to tie it up when needed?

I ordered the crochet pattern for the baby Nike shoes and the yarn from Germany. Expensive! Things went well until I started on the toe. If I start 20 sts from the ending hook space, the toe is not centered. Please help. I am so disappointed. Tried twice. Same result. I am an experienced crocheter.

I'm just about to finish mine. I used the same colours because they're excellent and we're the very ones I would have chosen myself. I blocked each panel as I finished it. My hand-sewing leaves a lot to be desired but it's holding together. I have one last row to do on the edge and hope to hang it tomorrow. Amazing idea, thank you.
